Hemorrhoid Removal Options Explained

For the most part, medical hemorrhoid removal surgery is the absolute last resort for treating your problem. This is and should only be done when all else has failed and you have reached that point of complete and utter desperation. Unfortunately, many jump the gun so to speak and choose hemorrhoid removal surgery when it is not necessary.

There are plenty of other remedies that have not been tried.

Is Hemorrhoids Surgery Necessary? Remove Hemorrhoids Without Surgery

The problem with hemorrhoid removal surgeries and procedures is that they focus on basically cutting out the problem. They do not focus on figuring out what caused the problem and healing each contributing factor.

Because this is not done, the problem more often than not ends up coming back. When the causative factors are not taken into consideration and fixed, they eventually lead to the same problem still needing hemorrhoid removal.

Your hemorrhoid removal plan, in order to have long term success, will absolutely have to identify the issues that have lead you to this particular point in your life. Not only will you need to find a potent, proven hemorrhoid removal treatment to heal your current condition, you will also have to take some life changing steps to prevent this condition from happening again.

Many of the current and modern hemorrhoid removal procedures are rather intrusive. For someone who may be embarrassed to pick up a hemorrhoid cream at their local pharmacy, a hemorrhoid removal operation would be absolutely devastating.

An internal remedy that focuses on both healing your symptoms as well as your root problem would be a much more comfortable way to go.

Some of the more common hemorrhoid removal procedures include banding, hemorrhoidectomy, and staples. Each is different in its own way but they all basically are used to take the hemorrhoid out so you can start over.

None of them addresses the problems you have been dealing with that has lead you to this situation, such as weakened veins, constipation, poor blood circulation and cleanliness, inflammation and nutrition absorption.

Banding is a hemorrhoid removal procedure in which an elastic band is placed around the inflamed area which causes the problem to shrink. The surrounding scar tissue helps to hold your problem in place which enables it to heal faster.

Unfortunately this takes quite a long time to heal and has to be repeated several times. A Hemorrhoidectomy includes an incision and actually removes the damaged blood vessels.

Staples is a more painful hemorrhoid removal procedure than banding but only needs to be done once.

Again, each of these hemorrhoid removal procedures is painful, embarrassing and costly. The best option is to take care of your problem with a potent, natural remedy that includes the previously mentioned ingredients for your true and long term healing.

Pull Up a Seat! It’s All About Pregnancy Hemorrhoids!

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

Another Pregnancy side effect: Hemorrhoids!

There’s so many icky yucky stuff about being pregnant and going through childbirth that first time mothers never hear about until it’s too late. You know, like about the vericose veins and stretch marks that miraculously appear on parts of your body other than your tummy. I got them on my upper arms from my first pregnancy and three children later, they are still there!

Then there’s the internal tearing that can happen through vaginal births. I know for me the concept of episiotomies (the intentionally cutting of the perineum area to make room for a baby) totally weirded me out!

And also, going to the child birth class and learning about hemorrhoids, the tiny lesion like sores that grow in your bottom nether regions also made me wonder how come the fore-mommies never warned me about that aspect of pregnancy and child birth. It really didn’t have to be this “right of passage” sort of discovery. I think I would’ve been better off preparing mentally for all the gross untold part of pregnancy if forewarned.

You know, ignorance isn’t always bliss….in any event. I digress.

Hemorrhoids, for one, are not dinnertime conversation, but unfortunately, they are a fact of life and are a real reality for many pregnant women.

Hemorrhoids affect 70% of women before, during and after delivery. It’s important to seek medical care because if hemorrhoids are left untreated, they can lead to larger health problems.

Right now, there are a few treatment options available for hemorrhoids. These include creams, suppositories, home remedies or drastic invasive procedures. Creams and suppositories are only marginally effective as well as inconvenient, and invasive procedures can be costly and carry risks.

There’s a new treatment for hemorrhoids called the HemAway Seat (www.hemaway.com). According to the makers, the device, it is FDA-cleared, convenient and effective. You don’t need to use creams, suppositories or even undergo an invasive procedure. The HemAway Seat fills a void in the available treatment options for hemorrhoids that allows sufferers to avoid surgery but is more effective than the home remedies currently out on the market. The Seat only works for internal hemorrhoids so make sure you consult your doctor to see what type of hemorrhoids you have.

Intriguing no?

How the HemAway Seat works:
  • The HemAway Seat discreetly attaches (home model) or rests (travel model) on a toilet seat. Sufferers sit on the seat, which allows the hemorrhoid to retract into the body for instant relief.
  • Hemorrhoid sufferers can use the device in the privacy of their own home.
  • The HemAway Seat naturally uses one’s body weight to allow the prolapsing internal hemorrhoid to gently withdraw into the body for immediate relief of pain, discohemorrhoid seatmfort and irritation.

Some facts about hemorrhoids:

  • Hemorrhoids are one of the most wide-spread medical conditions in America, affecting more of the U.S. population each year than asthma and even obesity.
  • One in two Americans experience hemorrhoids by the age of 50.
  • 70 percent of women suffer from hemorrhoids at some point during pregnancy of after delivery. Thirty percent of them are still bothered by hemorrhoids one month after the baby’s birth, and 11 percent still have a problem after 6 months.
  • According to one clinical study performed to test a new and highly effective surgical procedure, only 41 percent of advanced-stage hemorrhoid sufferers were satisfied with the results of surgical removal.

Hemorrhoids Causes? Food – Major Hemorrhoid Cause! Foods to Avoid When Treating Hemorrhoids!

7 Foods to Avoidhemorrhoid pictures for Best Hemorrhoid Home Treatment

So why do we get hemorrhoids in the first place?

And if we do have them is there a hemorrhoid home treatment that is effective, as opposed to the normal commercial stuff that’s out there, that really doesn’t get to the root cause of hemorrhoids.

The answer in short is yes there is a hemorrhoid home treatment, which is very effective, but more on that later, first let’s take a look at why we get hemorrhoids.

A lot of people think that it’s just their lot to have been born with them or something; well that’s just not the case.

After a lot of intensive research in the alternative therapies field it’s thought that the majority of cases, of hemorrhoids are caused by imbalances in out bodies caused by modern day pollutants, along with processed foods, which our bodies are not designed to take in high volumes of.

Now there’s possibly not a lot you can do about the pollutants around us, but you sure can do something about the amount of processed foods you ingest.

But:

Before we move on I think it’s worth pointing out that not all processed foods are bad here’s a couple of examples: pasteurized milk, or homogenized milk, frozen vegetables, whilst fresh is best, freezing does retain the essential vitamins and minerals, I’m sure you get the point.

The ones to steer well clear of are foods with large quantities of sugar, sodium, and saturated fats.

These would include:

1.White bread or pasta made with white flour
2.Refined sugars
3.Canned foods with lots of sodium
4.High fat convenience foods
5.Cakes and cookies
6.Processed meats
7.Breakfast cereals with added sugar

So when all this processed/refined food is ingested, it can cause constipation making stools harder, and so much more difficult to pass, this along with irregular bowel movements, and other reasons can be seen as the “root causes” for hemorrhoids.

So I’m sure you are beginning to see that there is a hemorrhoid home treatment available, but you most likely need to clear your refrigerator out.

Of course you could always just use the commercial lotions and potions that are on the market to give you a quick relief fix. But you know this only works for a limited time.

You know deep down that these creams, ointments, and suppositories don’t work for any lasting period of time, they may take away the burning and itching for a quick fix, and of course the other down side is that, they also have side affects for some folks.

If these products worked and, where so good, answer this question: why are you always encouraged to purchase these products in multi packs? So stop the quick fix mentality and work on the root cause of the problem.

It’s the root cause that needs to be resolved, first of all stop eating these bad processed foods, and switch to a hemorrhoid home treatment plan of action, and put all that embarrassing, bleeding itching and pain firmly behind you, once and for all.

Fruits And Juices Important For Relieving Hemorrhoids Part I

Chili Peppers

It has been found that when you eat a lot of chili peppers that you can get a burning sensation in the rectum or anus.

It is best to avoid eating too many peppers, especially if you have an advance case of hemorrhoids. Peppers are actually good for blood circulation and for healing ulcers. It is always the excess that creates problems in your body.

Here are some additional foods to avoid, which cause constipation.

1.  Coffee
2.  Alcohol
3.  Bad Fats
4.  Animal products
5.  Red meat

Foods you should be eating to help relieve hemorrhoids

A high fiber diet obtained from raw fruits and vegetables is what you need to eat for eliminating and for preventing constipation. When you don’t have constipation, you won’t have hemorrhoids.

The amount of fiber you should be eating is 25 35 grams per day. Most people only eat about 8 – 12 grams per day.

If you have not been eating a lot of fiber, you need to add fiber slowly to your diet, especially if you add it by using bran. Increase your use of bran or other bran cereals over a couple of weeks.

If you add fiber to your diet with fruits and vegetables, you can add them freely without much problem. However, since your stomach will not be use to it, you may experience more gas for a week or two. You can compensate for this by taking digestive enzymes to help you digest the extra produce.

The following list of juices and fruits are good for helping cure or relieve Hemorrhoids.

Juices

Juices are good for hemorrhoids but especially dark berry juices mixed with equal parts of apple juice. The dark berry juices to use are; Cherries, blackberries, blueberries

These berries contain ‘anthocyanins’ and ‘proanthocyanidins’ which reduce hemorrhoidal pain and
Swelling by toning and strengthening the hemorrhoid veins. Drink at least one glass of this juice mixture each day.

Cantaloupe

Cantaloupes are one of the best foods you can eat. It has a good source of vitamins and minerals. It has a high beta-carotene level and has anti-clogging properties.

Red and Black Currant Berries

Currants are high in Vitamin C, rutin, and minerals. This makes their juice valuable in clearing hemorrhoids. The also have a small amount of the fatty acid GLA, which produce prostaglandin that control body pain.

This juice is also good for cleansing the liver and blood. Good liver function is necessary for maintaining a healthy colon, rectum and anus.

Drink 1 -2 glasses a day of red or black currant berries.

Pomegranate Juice

Although pomegranate juice may be hard to find, it is quite useful in reducing hemorrhoids, because of its strong astringency. Saturate a cotton ball with pomegranate juice and push it slightly into your rectum.

If you have pinworms, the tannins in pomegranate juice will help you get rid of them. You can also drink the juice. During the summer I have on occasion found pomegranate juice at a farmers market. It is slightly tart but it is easy to drink. However, it’s hard to drink more than a glass full without getting a stomach upset.

Oranges and bananas

Eat 2-3 oranges and 2 bananas a day. Oranges provide vitamin C, bioflavonoids, and fiber. Bananas provide minerals that help to strengthen tissue and have plenty of fiber. Bananas can also be steamed to give more relief and even eliminate hemorrhoids. Steam two not quite ripe bananas with their peel until they are soft. Eat two in the morning and two in the evening.

Papaya

Papaya is an excellent fruit to eat. It has good mineral content, fiber, and has enzymes to digest protein.

These are the fruits and juices to use to for relieving hemorrhoids. Adding more vegetables to your eating habits is also important to get more fiber. These fruits, juices, and vegetables will help you keep regular and provide pain and inflammation relief for your hemorrhoid symptoms
