When you first discover you have hemorrhoids everyone tells you constipation is your real problem. You focus on preventing constipation. You add fiber to your diet – lots of fiber – believing your hemorrhoids will soon disappear. And they don’t. So is there more to hemorrhoids?
Having an inactive lifestyle, standing for long periods of time, pregnancy and heavy lifting are some common hemorrhoid causes. And it seems that inactivity, and then straining is the common thread here, when in fact there is another underlying problem – weak vein walls. Magnesium can be found in green leafy veggies, nuts, olives, almonds parsley, potatoes, tomatoes, rye bread and pumpkin. But broiling, steaming and boiling can remove magnesium from these foods. Eating organic produce and eating these foods raw are a better good option for getting magnesium from foods.

So when looking at what is causing your hemorrhoids go beyond constipation and instead look to strengthen your weak veins and vein walls, your sluggish digestive tract and improve your diet. Add magnesium to your diet with good quality foods containing magnesium or with a capsule or powder. By strengthening your body you can heal yourself of hemorrhoids and their causes.
